Warren P. Cowles, 59, died Tuesday in a tragic accident in Longmeadow. He was born in Springfield, grew up in West Springfield and has lived in Longmeadow since the 1970’s. He was a foreman at the DPW for the Town of Longmeadow. Warren was a sports enthusiast and longtime season ticket holder for the Springfield Falcons and Thunderbirds. He leaves his son Alex Cowles of Longmeadow, his mother Catherine Siano of FL, five brothers Ronald F., Gary F. and Wayne D. of FL, Richard of SC and Leonard of West Springfield and two sisters Donna Ford of FL and Cynthia Cowles of Springfield. The funeral home service will be Friday March 24 at 11 am at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Westfield. As mentioned, Warren Cowles leaves behind his 20 year old son, Alex.  As he died without a will, his estate must go to probate which means access his money is not available to pay for funeral expenses or to help Alex with his living expenses.  Warren's family is requesting that in lieu of flowers, to please consider donating money.
