[ARCHIVED] Free Public Series of First Aid Trainings

Medical Reserve Corps

The Medical Reserve Corps Units of Hampden County are offering to members of the general public a  series of first aid trainings “You Are the Help Until the Help Arrives”.

The free trainings will be held at the Community Room of the Richard Salter Storrs Library, 693 Longmeadow Street (Route 5 South), Longmeadow, MA., from 6:15-8:00P.M.  The training dates and topics that will covered are the following:

  • Thursday, March 28: “Introduction to Providing Emergency Assistance as a Lay Person”
  • Thursday, April 25, 2019: “Hands-Only CPR” (general training without certification)
  • Thursday, May 30: “Stop the Bleed”
  • Thursday, June, 20: Narcan Training

No prior medical training is required. Individuals are encouraged but not required to attend all sessions of the series.  Attendees who attend all sessions of the series will be entered for a drawing for a prize.
