The Longmeadow Board of Health, in cooperation with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, will be providing in-home vaccinations for homebound individuals who cannot leave their home to get to a vaccination site. This program will begin delivering vaccinations in the home in the near future after receipt of vaccine from the state dept. of public health.
In-home vaccinations are for homebound individuals who are not able to leave their home to get to a vaccination site without considerable assistance. These individuals require any of the following:
1. Ambulance or two-person assistance to leave the home.
2. Are not able to leave the home for medical appointments under normal circumstances.
3. Have considerable difficulty and/or require significant support to leave the home for medical appointments.
If you or someone you know (age 18+) is homebound in Longmeadow, still needs a vaccination, and has not been in touch with us already, please call 413-565-4150.
If you are a Longmeadow resident or employee that is able to get to a vaccine site, is eligible for a vaccine, and needs assistance securing an appointment, please email LGILL@longmeadow.org.
