Eversource is preparing to submit a natural gas reliability project to the Massachusetts Energy Facilities Siting Board (EFSB) in the next couple of months. The proposal is to install, update and operate a steel main between a new point-of-delivery (POD) station in Longmeadow and the Bliss Street Regulator Station in Springfield. Residents are encouraged to view the Eversource project page by clicking here for more detailed project information.
In advance of the filing with the EFSB, Eversource hosted two virtual Open Houses on the evening of November 9th and the afternoon of November 10th so the community could learn what this proposed Project will mean for the Greater Springfield Area and provide feedback on the proposed Project and its potential routes. More information on the reliability project is available here.
