Dear Parents, Staff and Visitors of Greenwood Center and Greenwood Park:
Many of you are aware that the new Council on Aging broke ground summer of 2019 and is on schedule to be complete in late
fall of 2020. We sincerely appreciate your patience as we transition our shared space.
You are probably wondering about how our operations of our summer camps will occur during this final phase. I am happy to
report that we are working closely with the project manager, architect and Town leaders to ensure the proper safety measures
are taken to keep our children, staff and visitors safe during this process. We have identified suitable walkways from the
building to the pool as well as parking areas, drop off areas and pick up spots. Appropriate measures are being taken to ensure
that all outside play is safe and enjoyable for everyone.
We will be working continuously on the progress and keep parents and staff informed to ensure the transition is as smooth as
possible for everyone. We do expect there to be some bumps along the way and appreciate your patience. This situation will
surely bring challenges but with proper planning and good communication we plan to provide a safe and enjoyable
environment for all.
